John Fountain is the Managing Partner and Founder of Palomar Advisors, bringing more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry. Passionate about helping people, John has dedicated his career to serving business owners and improving their benefits offerings. He takes pride in helping clients feel confident and secure in their financial strategies.
John began his career working with multiple Fortune 500 companies. While he valued the challenge of solving complex business problems, he envisioned building a firm that was free from proprietary product limitations and conflicts of interest. This vision led him to become an independent advisor and establish Palomar Advisors, where he provides unbiased guidance and innovative solutions to small and mid-sized businesses. With expertise in group benefits, executive compensation, retirement plans, and business planning, John helps clients minimize taxes, reduce fees, and manage risk to strengthen their long-term financial security.
John resides in Temecula, California, with his wife, Jennifer, and their two dogs. Together, they raised three daughters into successful and accomplished young adults. Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with family, hosting barbecues, visiting the beach, camping, and hiking.
